The best solar…

Today’s Human Classes sprung a surprise test on us, which I continue to think is quite unfair. I said so, but our teacher said that “surprise tests are a natural part of the human experience. You cannot expect to always be able to pause time, or teleport to our mother-ships, or simply eat our conversation partner whenever we get stuck. We have to think quickly and salvage the situation.” There is a strange logic to that, although I haven’t seen every human conversation, so how do I know that eating one’s conversation partner isn’t just an obscure tradition, same as wearing braces and saying “gosh”? Questions for later. Currently, I have to give a run down of what I think of solar power, and the advance of commercial solar. Brisbane companies started embracing the technology in the early 20’s and the rest of Australia followed. Where I’m from the sun is a great and terrible menace that burns us, but people here simply love it. Oh, and electricity is everywhere, so anything to do with energy storage and getting power from such a source has to be good.  I made a bold statement that I thought that “industrial solar was the future of the human race.” And I got almost full marks for the question! Teacher had to remind me that rubbing one’s organic arm blades together does NOT signify a statement of great importance, not amongst humans. That is something I always forget, even in the written word. But still, I did apply my knowledge to the question, and I got a fairly good mark overall. The whole test was on the concept of commercial energy monitoring, solar panel installation and all sorts of things, but even when I didn’t know the answer, I answered in the positive. People just love them some energy storage. The 100 KW system question was the only one I left blank, but…even here, that’s new science. If someone asks me that in real life, I can just ask them “What is that, fellow human, I want to learn more?” Um…I mean, “I want to learn more, for sure!”
